About Me
Hi, my name is Karim Mohamed and I'm from Edison, New Jersey.
I currently attend the New Jersey Institute of Technology and the County College of Morris. I’ve just graduated from Middlesex College with an Associate’s Degree in Computer and Information Systems, and by the end of the year, I’ll complete a Web Development certificate at CCM.
Over the past year and a half, I’ve been deeply involved in web development, starting with simple HTML projects and gradually advancing into interactive web apps using JavaScript and animations. Recently, I’ve focused more on back-end development with PHP and Python/Django, while still sharpening my front-end and UX design skills through coursework.
In parallel, I’ve been studying data analysis extensively, with a strong emphasis on SQL, data cleaning, and exploratory analysis. I’ve worked hands-on with MySQL and pandas, building and querying databases, analyzing trends, and preparing data for reporting. My experience includes writing complex SQL queries, optimizing them for performance, and using real datasets to extract meaningful insights.
At CCM, I gained experience with Photoshop, CMS tools, and launching websites using FTP. I’m currently managing my own portfolio site online. I’ll wrap up my certificate with a final class in animation.
One of my most recent projects is a PHP-driven mental health application featuring a habit tracker, appointment scheduler, and a progress tracking system that ranks users based on their activity level. Users can view and manage their appointments, update their account information, and reset their password via email.
Another project I built is a dynamic laptop display website using Django. It collects user feedback through forms and leverages the Django admin panel for managing products and viewing submissions, giving administrators full control over the site’s content.
I am open to relocation or commuting. My dream is to work in the IT industry and I’d be honored to bring my skills and passion to your team. I look forward to discussing how I can contribute.
